Tata To Unveil The Punch EV Tomorrow, Launch Later This Month


Tata Nexon EV The highly anticipated entry-level electric vehicle, the Tata Punch EV, has been seen undergoing testing on several occasions. Tata has teased that the electric mini SUV will be presented tomorrow in a video that it posted on its social media channel dedicated to EVs. Although there isn’t an official image of the Punch EV yet, spy photos thus far suggest that it may have a fresh look that incorporates components from the facelifted Nexon EV. This is all that the Punch EV is capable of providing.

Tata Nexon EV Design

The Punch EV’s exterior will resemble that of its ICE (internal combustion engine) equivalent, but the fascia has a distinct design. Its front profile may include illumination components like the slender LED headlights and spanning LED DRLs found on the Nexon EV. In addition, compared to the ICE Punch, it may have a different grille and alloy wheel style.

Although the Punch EV’s interior hasn’t been thoroughly spied on, it might receive similar treatment to the other new Tata cars that have larger central screens. The ICE Punch’s black and white interior design may be retained by the automaker, but an entirely new dashboard design with EV-specific elements is anticipated.

The Punch EV’s interior features a tiered dashboard, with the new 10.25-inch infotainment screen serving as the centerpiece. The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and the two-spoke lighted steering wheel, which are taken from the larger Tata SUVs, are also new features. However, a 7.0-inch infotainment screen and digital cluster are standard on lower-end models. Only the Long Range models of the Nexon EV will come with the jewelled rotary drive selector.

Tata Nexon EV Over 500 Km Range?

Tata’s Punch EV is capable of supporting several battery packs. The entry-level electric SUV is anticipated to come with a pair of battery packs. The stated range of this new electric powertrain configuration is around 500 kilometers. It can also have multi-level regenerative braking, maybe in conjunction with paddle shifters.

The Tata Punch EV is expected to compete with the Citroen eC3 and be priced starting at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). It can also be a more expensive substitute for the MG Comet EV and the Tata Tiago EV, but it can also be a more compact and cost-effective option than the Tata Nexon EV.

The front of the bonnet has a full-width light bar, and the primary headlight cluster is divided, resembling the Nexon EV in design. Additionally, this electric SUV is the first Tata EV to feature a front-mounted charging port. Additionally, the lower bumper is brand-new; it has a fake silver skid plate and new vertical slats on the plastic cladding.


It has a dual-tone bumper design, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a Y-shaped brake light arrangement on the back. In contrast to the ICE Punch, which has a drum arrangement in the back, the Punch EV is equipped with new 16-inch alloy wheels and disc brakes on all four wheels.
