The Czech brand’s India line-up now includes the new 350 in place of the Jawa Classic, along with the Jawa 42, Jawa 42 Bobber, and Jawa Perak. In contrast to the 293cc engine previously available, Jawa Motorcycles now offers the recently released 350 in a single variation with a larger, 334cc single-cylinder engine. The Jawa 350, which retails for Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, has a vintage aesthetic that more closely resembles that of its competitor, the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 vs New Jawa 350 Design

The Jawa 350 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350 appear to have similar stylistic characteristics, such as a peashooter-style exhaust system, spoke wheels, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a prominent front fender, and a circular headlamp. The Jawa 350 is available in Maroon, Black, and the brand-new Mystique Orange color combinations.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 with dual-channel ABS is available in eight different paint schemes, including Signals Desert Sand, Signals Marsh Grey, Halcyon Green, Halcyon Black, Dark Stealth Black, Gunmetal Grey, Chrome Bronze, and Chrome Red. Meanwhile, the Classic 350 with single-channel ABS is available in Redditch Red, Halcyon Black, Redditch Grey, and Halcyon Green colors.

Both bikes come equipped with ABS, bulb illumination, an analog instrument cluster, and a side stand sensor. However, the digital fuel gauge on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 puts it one step ahead of the Jawa 350.

A brand-new 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 28.1Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm and 22.2bhp at 7,000 rpm powers the Jawa 350. The bike’s 6-speed gearbox, along with an assist and slipper clutch, handles all of the transmission responsibilities. In contrast, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is powered by a 349cc air/oil-cooled engine that produces 27Nm at 4,000 rpm and 20.2bhp at 6,100 rpm. This gearbox has five speeds available.

The 2024 Jawa 350 has a redesigned dual-cradle frame that is supported by a 5-step pre-load adjustable dual shock absorber at the back with 100mm of wheel travel and a 35mm telescopic fork at the front with 135mm of wheel travel. The Royal Enfield Classic 350’s chassis, in contrast, is a double-downtube design that is supported by a 6-step pre-load adjustable dual shock absorber at the back and a 41mm telescopic fork at the front with 130mm of wheel travel.

The updated Jawa 350’s braking system consists of a 240mm rear disc and a 280mm front disc, both of which are assisted by dual-channel ABS as standard. On the other hand, the Classic 350 has a bigger 300mm disc brake up front and a 270mm disc or 153mm drum brake up back as upgrade options.

The Classic 350 has 100/90-R19 (F) and 120/80-R18 (R) tubeless tires, whereas the Jawa 350 has wheels and tires measuring 100/90-R18 (F) and 130/80-R17 (R).

The Jawa 350 (Rs 2.15 lakh) is nearly two times more expensive than the Royal Enfield Classic 350 (Rs 22,000 less expensive), but only in its base form. The Royal Classic 350 is available for purchase for between Rs 1.93 lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh. Everything is priced ex-showroom.
