The new Jawa 350 is available in India from Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, priced at Rs. 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a significantly updated Jawa Standard that costs around Rs. 12,000 more than the original.
The largest modification to the motorbike is the bigger 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which replaces the smaller 294cc engine and delivers 22 horsepower and 28.2 Nm of peak torque. This device has a slipper clutch, assist, and a six-speed gearbox attached to it.
One of the main differences between it and the Jawa is the larger 334cc single-cylinder DOHC liquid-cooled engine, which produces 22.5PS and 28.1Nm. To put this in perspective, the Yezdi Roadster generates 29PS of power and 29Nm of torque. It has a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch linked to it. The old bike’s 280mm front disc and 153mm rear drum brake with single-channel ABS were significantly outperformed by the new 280mm front disc and 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.
Jawa 350 design
The design and style of the Jawa 350 are very identical to those of the departing Jawa. With a 790mm seat height as opposed to the previous one’s 765mm seat height, it now stands higher. A result of such is that the ground clearance is a higher 178mm compared to 165mm prior. It receives three color choices – Mystique Orange (new), Black, and Maroon with polished chrome and golden pinstripes. The tires are 18 inches up front and 17 inches at the back. Continental supplied and tuned the dual-channel ABS and disc brakes are mounted on each tire. The bike’s weight has increased from 182 kg to 194 kg, and its wheelbase has also lengthened considerably from 1,368 mm to 1,449 mm.
Jawa 350 engine and specifications
The Jawa 350 uses the same 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as in the Perak and Bobber 42, although it is tuned differently to produce 22.5bhp and 28.1Nm. Having a torquey mid-range and low-end is the goal. The 294cc engine of the departing Jawa produced 27 horsepower and 26 Nm; hence, there has been a 4.5 horsepower drop but a 2.1 Nm rise in torque. As before, it has a 6-speed gearbox, two exhausts, an assist, and a slip clutch.
Jawa 350 price and rivals
The Jawa 350’s ex-showroom price is Rs 2.14 lakh, whereas the model it replaces was priced at Rs 1.89 lakh. It is competitively priced at Rs 2.29 lakh for the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Rs 2.09 lakh for the Honda H’ness CB350, and Rs 2.08 lakh for the Yezdi Roadster. The Jawa 350 is now accepting reservations for Rs 5,000.
