The most notable changes are the dashboard and new features; however, it remains mechanically unchanged and does not receive any significant styling updates. As long as stocks are available for the outgoing trims, the new Pro range will also be available for purchase. Mahindra has also released the XUV400 in Nebula Blue.

What’s New

Mahindra has addressed the XUV400’s most crucial design features with the Pro variant update. The climate control panel’s outdated appearance and feel have been modernized. The climate controls are now more similar to those on the XUV700 and Scorpio N, but the storage area is removed from the passenger side of the dashboard. The all-black theme has been replaced with the Pro variants, which are now black and beige.

Additionally, the XUV400’s central AC vents have been repositioned to accommodate the larger infotainment system. The XUV700’s steering wheel has also been removed. The upcoming facelifted XUV300 will likely have the same dashboard design.

Mahindra XUV400 Pro Design

The XUV400 Pro Range makes a bold statement with its exhilarating new Nebula Blue color option, complemented by a sleek Shark Fin antenna that enhances the all-electric SUV’s overall aesthetic. The inside space balances comfort and style, featuring modern and premium dual-tone interiors. The core interior is an airy light-grey colour complemented with a mild black for rich contrast. Satin-copper accents on control knobs, shift levers, and vent bezels, along with blue backlighting, highlight the presence of the electric powertrain. The sporty, comfortable seats are wrapped in natural-grain, perforated leatherette with subtle copper decorative stitching, presenting a unified, harmonious, and plush interior design.

Although the XUV400 requires a significant redesign of the dashboard, the new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen is the main update. Instead of flanking the new touchscreen on the sides as in the previous model, the AC vents now highlight it. The HVAC panel is entirely new. It now has two rotary dials instead of a big central one, and a new digital MID and revised switchgear are in between.

Also, the entirely black interior has allowed for a new black-and-beige dual-tone theme. The subtle copper accents have been retained as is, though the passenger side of the dashboard now has a gloss black overlay. Both the steering wheel and the instrument binnacle are new, but the 10.25-inch digital screen replaces the analog dials.

The Adrenox software that we saw on the XUV700 is now on both of the newly updated XUV400 Pro’s screens, which means that the overall functionality of the 7.0-inch infotainment interface, which was previously available but dated, will be substantially improved. Dual-zone climate control with memory function, a wireless phone charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa connectivity, rear USB ports, and rear AC vents are additional feature additions. The XUV400’s specifications neglected the last feature.

Although these updates are less than the new Nexon EV, the Tata top-spec variant has more features like ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate, 360-degree cameras, full-width LED light bands, and an even larger infotainment screen.

Mahindra XUV400 Pro remains mechanically unchanged

As previously stated, there are no mechanical improvements. The EC Pro and EL Pro both come with a 34.5kWh battery, but the latter also has a 39.4kWh battery. The EC Pro only has a 3.3kW AC charger for both battery options; the EL Pro has a faster 7.2kW AC charger. The first battery has a claimed range of 375 km, while the second battery has a claimed range of 456 km on the MIDC cycle.

Both XUV400 Pro models have a front axle-mounted electric motor with 150 hp and 310 Nm of torque. Additionally, it includes three different drive modes, regenerative braking, and disc brakes for all four wheels.
